Hey, my name is
Arneta Nathlya.
I'm 14 years old
and I am currently a student at Global Jaya International School.
I am reading this
interesting novel about Louise Lambert, a typical seventh-grade girl that has
an addiction of collecting vintage dresses from thrift stores. The novel is
called “The time-traveling Fashionista” which is written by Bianca Turetsky.
Even though I have never heard of this author before, I immediately fell in
love with her novel and I would like to see more novels that she has written.
The novel tells a
story about how Louise Lambert's misery life magically transformed when she
receives a mysterious invitation to a vintage fashion sale in the mail. It is
an exciting news for Lou, but not only that she's also expecting her first dance
at Fairview Junior High. She's hunting for a new vintage dress that she will wear
to the dance, and she hopes that she could find one at the vintage fashion
sale.
I started to read
this book a week ago and I like it so far, I think the book is really great.
How the author mentions the feelings that typical 12 years old would actually
feel, and what would they do at that age. I am up to chapter 4 right now; it is
basically just explaining how Louise Lambert’s daily life is like.
To sum up, I am
really interested in this book because I like to read books that are connected
to my everyday life; it feels more real when I’m reading it. I will continue my
reading to the next chapters and I can’t wait to found out what will happen in
the end.

I like your post! I am pretty sure that I will love this book because I am interested in fashion. If there is a chance for me, I would like to read your book!!
ReplyDeleteI used to collect vintage dresses when I was in my 20s and I lived in London. I used to go to markets like Camden, Greenwich and Portobello Road in Notting Hill. I really loved dresses from the 1960s - probably because my mum had a lot of photos of herself wearing this fashion and she looked so great! Do you have a favourite dress from the book?
